Jahn, Adolf 1858-

Born in Stettin on December 17, 1858, he studied at the academies of Berlin and Vienna. He worked in Berlin and exhibited at the Academy from 1891 to 1918 and also at the Great Exhibition of Fine Arts. He specialised in statuettes, groups, busts and bas-reliefs portraying contemporary German personalities, hsitoric cultural figures and Shakespearean characters. He also sculpted a number of allegorical female busts.
